Carpool Cinema at Bennett's Creek Park and the Godwin Courts Parking Lot

Suffolk Parks & Recreation knows you want to get out of the house...but want to do it safely. So bundle up the kids in the car and join them for Carpool Cinema! Two chances to watch great films, at both Bennett's Creek Park and the Godwin Courts Parking Lot in downtown Suffolk!

On Saturday, October 17, 2020, Bennett's Creek Park will show the 1993 cult classic, Hocus Pocus. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and enjoy the movie from their car. The park will open at 6pm for parking and the movie will start at approximately 7pm. Plan to arrive early, as space is limited. Please note that the park will be closed from 5-6pm to prepare for the event. 

Haven't seen Hocus Pocus yet? Max, a curious new-kid-in-town, moves to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before accidentally awakening the Sanderson sisters, a trio of diabolical witches where were executed in the 17th century. Mayhem ensues in the most hilarious way possible. An all-star cast includes Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy. This PG-rated movie has a running time of 96 minutes. 

On Saturday, October 24, 2020, the parking lots behind the Godwin Courts Building will showcase the 2001 pop culture phenomenon, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Come early to check out the local shops and restaurants, and then enjoy the movie, which begins at 7pm, from the comfort of your car. Pets are welcome and must be on a leash when outside of your vehicle. Attendees must practice social distancing at this event. Please note that the parking lots will be partially closed from 1-6pm to prepare for the event. 

Haven't seen Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone yet? An orphaned boy enrolls in a world-class school of wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family, and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world. An all-star cast includes Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, and many more. This PG-rated film has a running time of two hours and 32 minutes. 

Bennett's Creek Park is located at 3000 Bennetts Creek Park Road, in northern Suffolk. The Godwin Courts parking lot is located behind 150 N. Main Street in downtown Suffolk.
