The work of renowned sculptors William and David Turner of the Eastern Shore of Virginia will be on exhibit at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts September 14th (opening reception) until October 21st. Both the BB&T and Norfolk Foundation galleries will house the amazing Turner creations in bronze as well as some of William Turner’s paintings. William Turner’s four published books will be available for purchase during the exhibit. The Turners, father and son, share a talent of capturing the beauty and motion of wildlife in bronze. To date the Turners have created more than 700 different limited edition bronzes and more than 100 large public commissions found throughout the U.S.

Join area business leaders and local residents as they tee-off to support Suffolk Public Schools with a day of fun at the beautiful Sleepy Hole Golf Course. Cost for a foursome is $350; cost for an individual is $125. Your registration includes 18-holes on an award-winning course, a boxed lunch, a fried chicken and BBQ Dinner Buffet, beverages, and networking with area leaders. Rain Date: October 27.

Come join Suffolk Parks and Recreation for a little bit of insanity on Friday, October 20, 2017, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., when they present the Mystery Menu Dinner at East Suffolk Recreation Center! They will serve a kid-friendly mystery meal. Only thing is...it will be written in code! They will provide a menu with food and drinks all given in code names. The code names will provide hints to what the food is. Each coded meal will have a great surprise for everyone at the table! Join in and see if you can decipher the code!
The program is open to the public. There is a $7.00 registration fee. Registration is available online or stop by East Suffolk Recreation Center.
