Chicago centers on Velma Kelly (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Roxie Hart (Renée Zellweger), two murderesses who find themselves on death row together and fight for the fame that will keep them from the gallows in 1920s Chicago. The film was critically lauded and nominated for 13 Academy Awards, winning Best Picture (the first musical to win Best Picture since 1968), Best Supporting Actress (Catherine Zeta Jones), Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound. Chicago is 113 minutes and is rated PG-13.
