Join the Suffolk Public Library for a screening of the award-winning documentary, 13th, which takes an in-depth look at America's prison system and how it reflects the nation's history of racial inequality. Directed by Ava DuVernay, 13th was titled after the 13th Amendment to the U.S Constitution, which freed the slaves and prohibited slavery unless as a punishment for crime. There will be a discussion after the film.
