    Tidewater Turners is a non-profit organization, a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, located in Norfolk. The purpose of the organization is to promote the advancement of woodturning skills for members and other interested persons through an open exchange of knowledge, ideas and information. They also strive to increase public awareness of woodturning as a popular craft and as an art form. Exhibit sponsored by Davenport & Company.

  2. 26th Annual Driver Days Fall Festival

    Come on out to the village of Driver for our 26th Annual Fall Festival. Lots of activities for the kids, good food, parade of bikes, car shopping, knockerball, a pet costume contest, pumpkin painting, magic show, pie eating contest, cornhole tournament, children's amusement area, and crafters & vendors! Entertainment by Sheryl Warner & The Homewreckers, Later That Night, The Rhondels, Fox & The Bear, HL Wilson, Runnin Shine, Travis Meadows, and Hampton Roads Championship Wrestling.

  3. Great Dismal Swamp Safari

    October 20, 2019, 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM @ Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge

    The Great Dismal Swamp is anything but dismal. The narrated Swamp Safari, one of Suffolk’s most popular attractions, fills up quickly. This four-hour tour is led by a biologist specializing is the unique habitat of the Great Dismal. Learn about the history, lore, vegetation and wildlife with this adventure that includes a brief walk to Lake Drummond. Sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended. A small snack and beverage is provided. This tour is not recommended for very small children. Reservations are required and cancellations are expected no less than 48 hours prior to scheduled tour. Call the Suffolk Visitor Center at 757.514.4130 to reserve your spot.

  4. Sherri Parker Memorial Poker Run & Bike Show

    October 20, 2019, 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM @ Kings Highway, Driver Village

    This Driver Village tradition is a TAMA-sponsored ride benefiting the Sherri Parker Memorial Fund and the Driver Volunteer Fire Department. A $20 donation per person includes a complimentary t-shirt for the first 150 registrants. Poker Run registration is from 9:30am until 11am at Bayside Harley Davidson in Portsmouth. Parade of bikes will stage at Sleepy Hole Park in Suffolk at 12:30pm prior to ride into Driver at 1pm. Bike Show Registration 12pm-2pm in Driver Village. Door prizes and vendors.
