    The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts welcomes 16 artists from Lanexa, Virginia, in a new exhibition called "Fresh From The Studios." This marks the first time the Greater Lanexa Studio Tour (GLST) will be out of the studios and into the SCCA's historic art galleries. Word showcased will include a variety of mediums such as paintings, woodwork, sculpture, glass, and jewelry. Their unique artwork makes a great gift for someone special.

  3. Great Dismal Swamp Safari

    The Great Dismal Swamp is anything but dismal. The narrated Swamp Safari, one of Suffolk’s most popular attractions, fills up quickly. This four-hour tour is led by a biologist specializing is the unique habitat of the Great Dismal. Learn about the history, lore, vegetation and wildlife with this adventure that includes a brief walk to Lake Drummond. Sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended. A small snack and beverage is provided. This tour is not recommended for very small children. Reservations are required and cancellations are expected no less than 48 hours prior to scheduled tour. The 90-minute daytime tour will offer unique insights into Suffolk’s heritage as tour goers traverse the cedar-lined terrain dotted with timeworn headstones.
