  3. Suffolk Farmers' Market Season Opening Celebration

    May 4, 2019, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Suffolk Visitor Center Pavilion

    The Suffolk Farmers’ Market kicks off the 2019 season on Saturday, May 4, 2019, in the Suffolk Visitor Center Pavilion at 524 North Main Street. The weekly market is enjoyed by locals and visitors searching for fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meats and eggs, jellies, jams, honey, pickles and handmade artisan crafts. The Market is situated at the corner of Constance Road and North Main Street directly behind the Suffolk Visitor Center. From 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. market goers can enjoy a variety of homegrown and handmade goods, the Teeny Tiny Farm Petting Zoo, a Pop-Up Library, bounce house and live music by Justin Luke McCurry. The Suffolk Public Library and Suffolk Art League will engage children of all ages with crafts and a Pop-Up Library. Local author Kimberly Ellis will be conducting a book signing for her new children’s book, Butterflies for Rory. As with all market activities, admission is free and open to the public.

  4. Free Comic Book Day

    Join the Suffolk Public Library for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Comic books will be available while supplies last, and will be made available by age category. There will also be a raffle for a $50 prize from Atlantis Games & Comics. One prize will be awarded for the Suffolk-wide raffle. Free comic books provided by Atlantis Games & Comics in Portsmouth.

  5. Star Wars Day Movie Marathon

    May the 4th Be With You! Celebrate Star Wars Day as we watch Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (11am) and Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (1:30pm). Both movies are rated PG-13. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided while supplies last. You do not need to be a library member to attend.
